The non-profit climate protection company has been developing renewable energies (biomass, wind energy and solar projects) for almost two decades and is building these up with its own subsidiaries and partner companies. The company's main business, as an interface between NGOs and business, is CO2 offsetting.
Your workplace in Berlin & Barcelona
As a division manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the portfolio of C02 mitigation and climate protection projects. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, management and controlling of project activities in Africa and steering interdisciplinary teams and partners.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Developing and implementing Africa based projects regarding biomass, biogas plants and negative emissions technologies focusing on CO2 mitigation
- Management of the project portfolio including budget management
- Coordinating and networking with international partners and stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring quality standards
- Representation on national and international platforms
- Leading and supporting a team of project managers and technical experts
Education & qualification (m/f/d)
- Completed university degree in environmental sciences, industrial engineering or a related field, ideally with a specialisation in renewable energies
- Several years of professional experience in the management of biomass and biogas plant projects and negative emissions technologies
- Large international network: renewable energies, climate protection and project development
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
