A large municipal hospital association with highly specialised centres for the care of complex diseases in the south of Germany has commissioned us to recruit a Medical Physics Expert. The multi-certified and award-winning hospital association - with an excellent reputation beyond the region - is planning forward-looking new buildings and modernisations and is looking for an MPE to build up a competence team in the field of medical physics and radiation protection.

Medical technology is being reorganised in the department of building management - accordingly, there is great scope for the medical physicist to develop, design and expand the radiology department and to implement the state-of-the-art X-ray facility.

The Job Profile of the MPE Vacancy

In addition to building up a competence team in medical physics and radiation protection, the tasks of the medical physics expert include the internalisation of external consulting services in the new department, the implementation of legal requirements in radiation protection, and the monitoring, testing and quality assurance of radiological equipment.

In addition, the MPE will analyse and optimise medical radiation exposures and further develop the dose management system. Other responsibilities include training staff in radiation protection and preparing technical specifications for radiological equipment.

Target Profile of the Medical Physics Expert

For the position of medical physics expert, the municipal hospital association is looking, with our help, for candidates with a Master's degree in medical physics according to the guideline on radiation protection. Applicants must also have specialist knowledge in the field of radiation protection or X-ray diagnostics and nuclear medicine as well as initial experience as a medical physicist. Specialist recognition by the German Society for Medical Physics (DGMP) is also desirable. In addition, the candidates must be fluent in German at Level C1.
